Nordson provides all the needed equipment for complete liquid
spraying systems, which includes accessories and various types
of pumps.
To accommodate the use of unique and more durable liquid materials
that are more abrasive and difficult to spray, Nordson has developed
patented ScoreGuard? coated pump plungers. Nordson plungers
provide superior performance and toughness over other coatings
used in wear applications.
Twice as hard as conventional hard chrome plating, the metallic
silver-colored ScoreGuard coating has excellent corrosion resistance
to assure reliable operating performance.
With a two-year warranty, ScoreGuard coating provides maximum
pump life for superior durability even with the most demanding
coating applications.

3) PermaFlo
Series pumps
Nordson
PermaFlo Series pumps are designed and constructed to withstand
the rigors of pumping today’s more abrasive, higher
solids coatings. Their modular design, patented wear-resistant
coating and other proven features meet a wide range of pressure
and volume requirements, and assure long service life and
low maintenance costs.
Plungers and housings of the PermaFlo pumps feature a patented
ScoreGuard? wear-resistant coating that provides superior
performance and toughness over other coatings used in wear
applications.
The heavy-duty design features and construction of the PermaFlo
pumps facilitate maintenance and minimize associated costs.
The quick-disconnect feature between the air motor and hydraulic
section, and adjustable upper packings assure easy access
to the end-user for longer service life and less
downtime.
• Quick-disconnect design of air motor and hydraulic
section minimizes maintenance
• Adjustable upper packings give control to user to
minimize downtime and ensure longer life
• Air motor and pressure and siphon ball checks produces
substantially less pressure pulsation (pump wink)
• All stainless steel wetted parts construction accommodates
a wide range of coating applications
• PermaFlo pump muffler design meets OSHA requirements
for safe operation without hearing protection
4) High-Pressured
Fluid Filters
Available
in single and dual versions, Nordson high-pressure filters prevent nozzle clogging in a variety of fluid delivery applications.
The filters use reinforced screens to provide longer service
life and extend time between cleanings. Nordson filters are
shipped with a .006 inch screen, but a wide range of screen
sizes is available to accommodate changing production needs.
• Check valves in dual filter design facilitate cleaning
with minimal downtime
• Standard filters require no o-rings, minimizing maintenance
and repair costs
• Reinforced screens provide longer life
• Drain valves facilitate cleaning and routine maintenance
• Single filter brace can be used as a mounting bracket
during installation
5) Automated
Triggering System
The Nordson Automated Triggering System (ATS) provides effective
control of rotary atomizer and spray-gun trigger points in
automatic finishing systems. The ATS can control triggering
of up to four spray devices in up to two spray stations. The
Automated Triggering System includes an operator interface,
PLC controller, one or two photocells (depending on spray
line configuration), and a conveyor encoder. When used with
rotary atomizers, the system controls paint triggering, solvent
cleaning burst, pre-burst of paint after solvent flush and
high-voltage triggering. The ATS can provide up to two vertical
zones when spray devices are mounted on oscillators or reciprocators.
• Automatic control of spray device trigger points for
paint savings and a cleaner operation
• Standard system programming accommodates a wide range
of production requirements
• Conveyor encoder resolution can be adjusted to meet
varying system layouts
• Password access to selected programs prevents unauthorized
changes to programming
• Built-in eeprom memory preserves set-points in the
event of a power failure
6) NH-4
Heater
Nordson
heated airless and air spray systems utilize the Nordson Model
NH-4 fluid heater to reduce the viscosity of coating materials
and increase operating efficiency without adding solvents.
The NH-4 heater is an electrically operated, explosion proof,
high-pressure fluid filter. It consists of an electrical enclosure
and high-pressure fluid passage body. It is available in twin-passage
and stainless-steel models for high viscosity coatings, high
flow applications or corrosive materials. It can be wall-
or dolly-mounted based on application requirements.
• Simple design makes temperature setting and monitoring
easy
• Multiple heaters can be installed for increased heating/flow
capacity
• Minimizes pressure loss in high flow/high viscosity
applications
• High-temperature limiter and explosion-proof design
provide safe operation; heater components are designed for
easy installation and field repair
• High fluid velocity and low watt density provide consistent
heating
7. Cross
Cut Airless Spray Gun Nozzle
Proprietary
Nordson Cross-Cut nozzles are designed to provide improved
atomization with a wide range of materials, including highly
viscous and difficult-to-atomize coatings. Cross-Cut nozzles
produce greater atomizing energy at a given fluid pressure,
compared to conventional airless spray nozzles. Excellent
atomization is achieved at reduced fluid pressure, resulting
in a softer, low-velocity spray that helps minimize dripping,
material waste and equipment wear for maximum coating efficiency
and material utilization.
• Nordson Cross-Cut nozzles produce significantly wider
fan patterns (up to 28 inches) than conventional airless nozzles
• Cross-Cut nozzle design is inherently less prone to
plugging
• Cross-Cut nozzles atomize materials at lower pressures
which produces a softer, more controllable spray
with minimal overspray and bounceback
• When Cross-Cut nozzles begin to wear, both flow rate
and fan pattern width increase together and film thickness
remains nearly constant
• Finer atomization provides a higher quality airless
finish than is possible with standard nozzles
• Softer spray pattern substantially improves airless
electrostatic efficiency and wrap
• Cross-Cut nozzles require no additional regulators
to adjust

8. Plural-Component Optimix Dispensing
System
The
Nordson OptiMix system precisely meters, mixes and pumps a
wide variety of plural-component materials for quality coating
and efficient material usage. High-volume-displacement pumps
keep duty cycles low for reduced maintenance requirements,
even under demanding output requirements. The OptiMix system
uses an air signal to change the direction of travel of the
pumps, which allows the pumps to operate smoothly and efficiently
at lower operating pressures than other systems. With few
routine maintenance requirements, the system is designed for
ease of service.
• Precise metering and mixing of plural-component materials
for quality coating and efficient material usage
• High-volume displacement pumps keep duty cycles low
for reduced maintenance requirements
• Air signal to change pump direction for low pressure
operation and reduced component wear
• Easy access to shifting components for fast maintenance
and repair
• Wide variety of systems to handle most plural component
materials and dispensing systems
