Nordson liquid painting technology includes electrostatic and
non-electrostatic spray systems for applying liquid paints and
coatings to plastic, metal and wood products. We market, service
and support a wide range of products -- from spray guns, rotary
atomizers, airless nozzles, fluid handling products like pumps
and in-line heaters, and other ancillary products like single-
and dual inverted filters, regulators, valves, hoses, fittings
and color-change manifolds.
Every Nordson component, ranging from the relatively simply
manual equipment to the sophisticated, PC-controlled, fully
automated systems, is designed to meet specific requirements
of the liquid painting industry for:
• Reduced paint costs
• Increased product quality
• Improved productivity through reduced labor costs and
scrap
• Improved environmental conditions
• Enhanced workplace safety
1) Maverick
Air Spray Gun and HVLP
Spray Series
The
Maverick Air Spray gun combines optimum performance with a compact
design for superior atomization. The spray gun is ideal for
production settings and can be used with a variety of low and
high-viscosity coatings on a range of substrates including wood,
metal and glass. The gun’s lightweight, ergonomic design,
easy trigger pivot, and single knob fan adjustment maximize
operator efficiency and reduce fatigue. In addition, HVLP technology is also provided to improve the spraying peformance.
Each gun is shipped standard with a 1.1-mm fluid tip, needle
and precision-machined air cap combination. Additional siphon-feed
and pressure-feed air cap kits are available to expand the capabilities
of the gun. For HVLP guns, the size of standard fluid tip is
1.0 mm, and HVLP compliance kits are available to expand the
capabilities of the spray gun.
Features and Benefits •
Convenient built-in cheater valve for higher level of air
control, and Built-in cheater valve for higher level of air
control is provided for HVLP series
• Stainless steel fluid passages to accommodate a variety
of coatings
• Lightweight, ergonomic design and easy trigger pivot
reduce operator fatigue
• Hardened stainless steel needle for longer life and
lower maintenance costs
• Self-adjusting packings
• Set of replacement parts shipped with each spray gun
• Variety of nozzle configurations for maximum flexibility
to spray a wide range of materials
2) A4B
Manual Airless Spray Gun
The Nordson model A4B manual spray gun is lightweight, rugged
and dependable for ease of operation and long service life
in manual airless painting operations. It is available in
a noncirculating version for cold airless painting and a circulating
version for use in high-performance heated airless painting.
Stainless -steel models are available for highly corrosive
materials or special applications.

• Lightweight, durable forged aluminum body ensures
operator comfort and long service life
• Forward-position swivel fluid inlet on standard gun
provides exceptional balance and optimum maneuverability
• Responsive "easy-pull" trigger provides
maximum sensitivity and control for effective painting of
hard-to-reach areas
• Interchangeable internal parts allow flexibility for
use in circulating or noncirculating systems
• Convenient trigger safety and intregral fluid diffuser
promotes safe operation
3) Kinetix
Electrostatic Spray Systems
Nordson Kinetix electrostatic spray systems are designed to
deliver superior application performance with a variety of
substrates, coatings and part profiles. Kinetix systems feature
air spray, airless spray, air-assisted airless and KVLP technologies
for both automatic and manual applications, including waterborne.
Kinetix technology optimizes the key mechanics of spraying
– including electrostatic power, air energy, fluid pressure,
and dynamic motion. The synergy of these elements created
by Kinetix delivers results: superior transfer efficiency;
increased capacity with less scrap and rework costs; and improved
operator comfort in manual applications for reduced material
waste and improved finish quality.
Benefits of Kinetix Spray system:
1) Transfer Efficiency
• 93 kV at the gun tip delivers superior transfer efficiency
and paint wrap
• Automatic Current Limiting customizes electrostatics
to specific part profiles for improved coverage across the
part and into contours and recesses
• Extreme fan pattern control from 4 to 20 inches, with
quick, easy adjustment for multiple configurations to deliver
consistent part coverage
• Strong electrostatic load line keeps voltage consistently
high, even as gun-to-part distance changes, for higher transfer
efficiency
2) Painter Productivity and Safety Increased Capacity
and Production Throughput, Reduced Scrap and Rework, Improved
Appearance
• Lightweight, balanced, handle-forward design provides
maximum maneuverability for improved painter comfort
• Easy access to precise controls at painter’s
fingertips allows for fast, easy adjustments to maintain production
pace and deliver quality finishes
• Anti-wrap back feature reduces operator exposure to
VOCs and overspray for greater operating safety
• Over 62 fluid tip and air cap combinations are available
for greater flexibility
3) Reliability lower maintenance cost, and less
down time
• Gun bodies are constructed of super-touch carbon-filled
polyamide materials for long life under punishing manufacturing
environments
• Aircraft aluminum used for retaining screws and manual-gun
triggers is strong, yet lightweight
• Carbide ball-and-seat combinations and durable PEEK
materials for air caps and fluid tips deliver maximum wear
resistance
• Tough, single-piece multipliers are positioned inside
gun and contain no fragile moving parts for longer life
• Self-adjusting packing cartridges are designed for
long, trouble-free operation and fast, easy routine maintenance
• Production-proven, proprietary Cross-Cut nozzles for
precise atomization and soft-spray efficiencies
