Folding Carton
Whether you are top gluing or replacing bottom glue pots, Nordson cold
adhesive systems provide accurate pattern placement and flexible pattern
solutions to maximize folding carton productivity.
Pattern controls deliver accurate, repeatable adhesive placement.
Incorporating advances in computer technology, adhesive pattern
controls eliminate many changeover sequences and free the operator
for other tasks. Nordson pattern controls deliver accurate,
repeatable, complex adhesive patterns. A digital encoder, integrated
into the production line, synchronizes with the parent machine
to achieve pattern placement accuracy of ±1 millimeter
(0.039 in.). Nordson pattern controls are available with a range
of performance capabilities. The LA 4100 is a 2-channel, single
trigger pattern control with run-up capability. The LA 4400
is a 4, 8, 12 or 16-channel pattern control with either 4 or
8 triggers and 2 to 4 pressure curves. The LA 4400 has a color,
touchscreen
display for simple operator interface. These controls manage
adhesive flow and placement at all parent machine speeds and
accelerations.
Integrated detection and verification system enhances quality assurance.
Nordson’s G-NET verification system is a comprehensive on-line
quality control network that provides pattern detection, product
inspection and production measurement. Your production line
gains tighter quality control and protection against faulty
pieces that can cause production and shipping losses due to
unsealed products.
For example, real-time monitoring on the production line detects
faulty patterns at line speeds up to 700 meters per minute (2300
ft/min). The system also simultaneously detects and removes
defective products using an ejector, pusher or marking system.
Sensors identify product features such as overlapped and skewed
substrates; faulty flaps, folds or inserts;accelerations. presence
and placement of cellophane windows; and bar codes. To help
measure productivity and costs, the system monitors and reports
production performance for operating and cost analyses. You
can receive a printed production report that documents statistical
data for each shift. Data includes batch count, machine speed,
production rate and total operating and downtime.
Easy-to-clean, pressurized adhesive
containers meet strict safety standards.
All pressurized adhesive containers are equipped with safety
brackets, filter inserts, safety cam locks, mounting screws
and output pressure gauges. Containers are available in 1, 15
and 30-liter (0.26, 3.0 and 5.0 gallon) sizes.
